The Los Angeles Lakers bounced back after losing a game in New York against the Knicks with a road win over the Indiana Pacers. LeBron James returned to action for the winners after a one-game suspension.

The four-time NBA champion led all scorers with 39 points in 43 minutes. The Lakers saw significant contribution from the bench as three players finished with 14 or more points.

One of them was Wayne Ellington, who had 14 points coming off the bench, making four of six three-pointers. He talked about the game with Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. “Oh yeah [LeBron James] helped us a little, right?” Ellington smiled.

“That was the attitude. We knew that we didn’t like the taste coming out of New York. We felt like we made some strides in the right direction. So we came out here tonight we wanted to make sure we got this one. Going back home, long trip heading into holiday.”
