Klay Thompson is close to his season debut with the Golden State Warriors, after being a full participant in the team’s practices.

The three-time NBA champion didn’t give an exact date, but is hopeful he will return to action in the coming weeks. According to The Athletic, Thompson could return in Christmas week.

“It’s really hard to say because it’s definitely a feel thing. It’s hard to just put a date on it, but who knows when it could be, but it will be in the first half of the season, hopefully, the first trimester,” Thompson told reporters after Tuesday’s shootaround.

It has been almost 900 days since Klay Thompson played his last NBA game (Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals). Since then, he has been sidelined with two serious injuries. His return will further increase Golden State’s chances to win the title. The Warriors currently are on top of the NBA with a 15-2 record.
