It seems Klay Thompson has come a step away from his long-awaited return to action and his season debut with the Golden State Warriors.

According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Thompson has been cleared to participate full time in Warriors’ practices. He spent the previous week in 5-on-5 scrimmaging.

The three-time NBA champion and the Warriors have targeted Christmas week for his season debut, which will take place in a home game. As a result, it is likely he will play vs the Knicks (December 20) or the Grizzlies (December 23) or the Nuggets (December 28).

Klay Thompson hasn’t played since Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He suffered back-to-back serious injuries and has been out of action for almost 900 days. The Warriors are currently having the best record in the NBA (14-2).
