Mavs head coach hopeful Luka Doncic will play vs the Clippers

Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd opened up about the status of Luka Doncic ahead of the clash with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Kidd shared an update on Doncic’s condition and noted he is hopeful the Slovenian superstar will be ready to go on Sunday.

“Doncic (left knee and ankle sprains) missed his second straight game but has practiced some with the team during the road trip — including during pregame warmups Friday. Kidd said he’s hopeful that the star guard can play Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers,” ESPN reports.

Luka Doncic has missed the last two games of the Mavericks, due to a sprain on his left knee and ankle. He is averaging 24.9 points, on 43.4 percent shooting, 8.3 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.3 steals this season.
