Paul Pierce, who won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics, attended TD Garden as his former team hosted the Los Angeles Lakers. Seeing the Truth at the game was a special moment for Celtics star Jayson Tatum.
“I didn’t get to see Russell play, but having somebody like Paul come to the game, it’s someone I have a relationship with, I mean, I remember watching him play and now he’s watching me play. That’s crazy to me,” he said, via Mark Murphy.
Tatum had a big night, as he scored 37 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, leading his team to the win, 130-108.
