A remarkable performance in EuroLeague Round 11 allowed Lorenzo Brown to claim his first MVP of the week honor in the competition.
Brown led UNICS to an 85-71 home victory against ALBA Berlin with a PIR of 31. He scored 21 points on 7-of-11 two-pointers, 2-of-4 three-pointers and 1-of-1 free throws.
The swift guard dished a career-tying nine assists along with five rebounds, two steals and three fouls drawn. He became the fifth player in the history of UNICS to claim the award.
In Piraeus, Kostas Sloukas of Olympiacos had a PIR of 29 in his team’s home victory against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. Sloukas finished the game with 18 points on 8-of-8 free throws.
Nicolas Laprovittola of FC Barcelona and Mario Hezonja of UNICS each had a PIR of 28 in Round 11 to end up third in the MVP rankings for Round 11.
