Warriors’ James Wiseman could return during Thanksgiving week, per report

James Wiseman could return to the Warriors’ lineup during Thanksgiving week, after missing the start of the season due to injury. The news were reported first by Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area (via Real GM).

The sophomore center has yet to play this season. Wiseman injured his meniscus in his right knee in mid-April of his rookie season. Wiseman averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game in his first NBA season.

The Warriors are on a roll since the start of the year, having a 10-1 record, which is the best in the league so far. With that in mind, Golden State could ease up his return, after an up-and-down rookie year.

Wiseman is expected to join the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League for practices and possible scrimmages. The news on Wiseman came a day after ESPN reported that All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson could be back before Christmas.
