Miami Heat star swingman Jimmy Butler is set to be out on his team’s Thursday clash against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a sprained right ankle, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Butler prematurely left the Heat’s Wednesday 120-117 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers because of the said injury, missed the remaining three quarters and tallied seven markers with two steals. He then just watched on the sidelines for Miami during the second half while wearing street clothes.
Butler, the leader of the Heat with a 7-4 start so far this season, is averaging 23.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
It remains unknown how much time Butler will miss further for Miami.
