Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone opened up about the altercation between Nikola Jokic and Markieff Morris.
Malone said the flagrant 2 on Morris was the ‘right call’, while noted that Jokic knows ‘he can’t react in that manner’.
“I think the flagrant 2 on Morris was the correct call. Watching it from different angles, it was an unnecessary play, a dirty play, however you want to phrase it. Nikola reacted, and I loved what Nikola said. He knows that he can’t react in that manner,” the veteran coach told reporters, via Harrison Wind of Denver Sports.
Both Nikola Jokic and Markieff Morris were ejected from the game for their altercation. The Nuggets went on to defeat the Heat 113-96. In addition, Morris is now dealing with neck whiplash and is out for Wednesday’s clash with the Lakers.
