Nikola Jokic feels awful, emotional in incident with Markieff Morris

Denver Nuggets’ lead man Nikola Jokic expressed his sentiments about the recent infamous dirty plays he had with Miami Heat player Markieff Morris.

Speaking to the media after a 113-96 wire-to-wire home triumph, Jokic thought that Morris’ elbow was a “dirty foul” and “little over the edge” in the physical duel between both teams.

The reigning MVP further told reporters that he felt awful about the situation, specifically on what he did to Morris who may seem to have his head snapped back after a hard charge. In addition, he acknowledged his own doing as a “bad move” against the forward.

The Heat veteran landed an elbow to the chest of Jokic during the last minutes of the fourth quarter. As an answer, the big man tackled Morris who fell into the floor mincing in pain. The two were then removed by the officials out of the game, while Jimmy Butler received a technical foul 1 for executing harsh words vs. the Nuggets.

Jokic led Denver with a triple-double of 25 points, 15 boards, and 10 dimes. They will continue to defend the Mile High City home turf against the visiting Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
