Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jaylen Brown is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with a right hamstring strain, according to head coach Ime Udoka.

Brown suffered the injury in the game vs. the Miami Heat last week. He was sidelined with the injury for Boston’s most recent game against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Celtics will probably rely more on their bench unit going forward, with Brown out. Boston is coming off a disheartening loss to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

The 25-year-old is averaging a career-high 25.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists over the first eight games of the season.

Brown was recently involved in trade rumors regarding Philadelphia’s disgruntled All-Star Ben Simmons, who has yet to make an appearance for the Sixers.

According to the report, the Philadelphia 76ers will demand Jaylen Brown in case the Celtics show interest to acquire the Australian point forward.
