Frank Vogel on Malik Monk making 1 field goal in last 4 games

Over the last four games, Lakers newcomer Malik Monk has scored just three points in total. The 23-year-old shooting guard joined the team with the expectations of becoming an important role player, but, lately, he has been struggling with his scoring.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked about Monk’s integration and the fact that he made just a single field goal over the last four games. “We don’t need to get anybody going, we just need to move the ball better,” he said.

“When we move it better, then we’re doing and we move players better than we’re doing the ball will find everybody. But certainly if we get the ball at the second side more than we’re doing, he’ll be more involved.”

Monk played 9 games for the Lakers so far this season, averaging 6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He averaged 11.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Hornets last year.
