Karl-Anthony Towns apologized to the Minnesota Timberwolves fans responding to the liking of a tweet that said, “#FreeKAT” within.
After Thursday’s practice, the T-Wolves superstar addressed the issue, claiming his Twitter account got hacked while he was asleep.
“Sorry to the Wolves fans. I ain’t want to cause no hysteria or anything like that. But just know I’m very happy,” the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar said, per Jon Krawczynski of the Athletic.
“I know we’re on a skid so it came at the worst possible time, that little hacking. I’m excited to hopefully build more years here, not just this year.
After winning three of their first four games to start the season, the Timberwolves have lost three straight. Towns has been excellent so far, averaging 23.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and four assists per game.
