Nate McMillan: “Our offense right now is out of sync and that’s leading to really no defense at all”

Nate McMillan’s Atlanta Hawks are currently on a 2 game losing streak, letting up 122 points in both games against the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers.

Now in his first full season with Atlanta, McMillan can’t help but point out how much of an impact his team’s play on offense goes into their defensive focus.

(Via Bally Sports Southeast):

“Our offense right now is out of sync and that’s leading to really no defense at all. We’re turning the ball over. Our shot selection — we’re taking quick shots, which is leading to transition baskets. We really don’t have a rhythm out there, and what we got to continue to just work on is this group that we have healthy now has to find a chemistry together on the offensive end of the floor. Right now we’re just really out of sync and that’s leading to poor defense. I think our mind is more focused on offense and how to get involved offensively, as opposed to focusing on defense and working together on the offensive end of the floor.”
