Zalgiris Kaunas is close to an agreement with Slovenian veteran guard Zoran Dragic, who played in EuroLeague last season, per Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews.com.

Dragic will meet again with Zalgiris’ Slovenian head coach Jure Zdovc, as they worked together during the 2014 FIBA World Cup and 2015 EuroBasket.

Dragic was also part of the Slovenian national team, which reached the Olympic tournament semi-finals this past summer in Tokyo.

He averaged 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Last season, Dragic played for ACB powerhouse Baskonia, averaging 8.5 points and 1.6 rebounds in 33 EuroLeague appearances.

Dragic has an illustrious career being part of several EuroLeague teams, including Anadolu Efes, Olimpia Milano, Khimki Moscow and Unicaja Malaga. He also has 15 appearances in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat.
