Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel took responsibility for a disappointing debut of Russell Westbrook in a home loss to the Golden State Warriors. However, he is confident that it can be fixed easily.

“We didn’t get him involved enough and that’s one me,” Vogel said. “We continue to look at situations to make him useful and not pull away from what AD and Bron are doing. Those guys obviously got going. But I didn’t do a good enough job getting Russ going. That’s an easy fix, something that we’re familiar with and keep looking at every day to get a little more comfortable with it.”

Westbrook played 35 minutes in the season opener for the Lakers as he scored 8 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
