Evan Fournier makes history in debut with Knicks

Evan Fournier had a debut to remember with the New York Knicks, playing against his former team, the Boston Celtics. The French sharpshooter went off for 32 points in the close-fought 2OT win for New York.

Fournier was nothing but amazing in front of the MSG crowd. Most of his damage came late in the game when it mattered most, as Fournier hit three threes in the first overtime and added another in the second section.

According to Stat Muse, Fournier scored the most points ever for a Knick with his 32-point piece. Despite his slow shooting start in the preseason, the veteran guard shot 13-of-25 from the field and hit six threes.

Fournier signed a four-year, $78 million contract with the Knicks this offseason, giving them a new starter in the backcourt to pair up with Kemba Walker.

Fournier also held his own despite his usage in offense, being really aggressive in the defensive end, however, the win came for New York by his contribution in the other end of the floor.
