This past offseason, Russell Westbrook joined the Los Angeles Lakers and became a part of the Big Three that also includes LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

According to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, the 32-year-old point guard is a role player for the Lakers, behind James and Davis. Westbrook, who was named league MVP in 2017, is used to being the main guy on the team or at least sharing that role with another player.

Shaq thinks that this year, the 9-time NBA All-Star will be the third guy on the team and will have to settle with getting his point on the break.

“They still need role players, right?” O’Neal said. “I see Russ as a role player, a damned good one, but he’s a role player. It’s LeBron first, AD second and then Russ. He can get his stuff on the break.”
