Sixers’ superstar Joel Embiid on Ben Simmons: “I don’t care about that, he does whatever he wants”

Philadelphia 76ers are trying to work their way back from an eventful offseason that included Ben Simmons holding out for more than a month.

In the latest update from the Sixers, Simmons was suspended from the team, and he will miss the opening game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid was asked about the situation, claiming that the team is in high spirit ahead of the new season.

As for the Ben Simmons’ saga, Embiid said he isn’t concerned about the situation, and that the three-time All-Star does whatever he thinks best for his career.

He then fired his shot by telling the reporters that it isn’t his job to babysit anyone, and he wants to play and help his team win.

Simmons has demanded a trade at the start of the offseason, after another disappointing second-round exit in the last postseason

Embiid, who is the cornerstone of the Philadelphia franchise, came second in the MVP voting last season, completing a career-year with the Sixers.
