Warriors’ Steph Curry, Draymond Green reportedly among strong advocates for keeping Avery Bradley

Golden State Warriors did not make a decision on the 15th spot of the roster, as they released Avery Bradley, Gary Payton II, Jordan Bell and Mychal Mulder heading into the season.

According to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic (hat tip to Hoopshype), Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were notable advocates for veteran guard Avery Bradley.

Bradley hasn’t found a contract so far, despite his status as a veteran lockdown defender in the league. The almost 31-year-old, who is entering his 12th season, didn’t look especially impactful in his preseason run.

However, according to Thompson, the Warriors’ veterans weren’t at all concerned about how a proven veteran looked in preseason.

Instead, they see Bradley as a part of a potential deep playoff run, if he was to stay with the team. Bradley has played for the Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Houston Rockets.
