Doc Rivers reveals how Ben Simmons addressed his Sixers’ teammates

Ben Simmons returned to the Philadelphia 76ers, after holding out for more than a month. The Sixers’ head coach Doc Rivers revealed how Ben Simmons addressed his teammates, after finally joining the team.

Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia inquirer reported the news that Simmons had returned to practice, and also what Doc Rivers revealed about how Simmons addressed his teammates.

“We just introduced like we always do when a new guy comes back or the old guys come back. We jokingly did it. We did it with Tobias as well because he’s been on vacation and Matisse as well,” Rivers said.

“But as I told you before, the players pretty much welcome guys back,” the veteran coach concluded.

The Philadelphia 76ers open their season in New Orleans against the Pelicans on Oct.20 and will play their first home game on Oct.22 against the Brooklyn Nets. It’s still unclear if Simmons will be ready to play.
