De’Aaron Fox feels ‘more mature’ as a player starting new season with Sacramento Kings

De’Aaron Fox made great strides as a player since his rookie season. Entering his fifth year in the NBA, Fox feels more mature than ever, as he admitted Saturday.

The Sacramento Kings’ star was asked how he feels compared to his first season in the league, before the tip off of the regular season, Wednesday.

(via NBC Sports Bay Area):

“It feels great,” Fox told reporters. “I feel like, just as a person and as a player, my game has matured a lot. Obviously, still working on the defensive side of the ball and still shooting the ball.

But I feel like I’ve come a long way from just coming in and running fast. I feel like I’m a totally different player from then.”

The Kings’ point guard averaged a career-high 25.2 points, 7.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 58 games. The Kings start the regular season vs. Portland on Oct.20.
