The San Antonio Spurs are getting ready for the end of the Gregg Popovich era with the franchise.

The Spurs expect Popovich to retire in 2022 or 2023 and have already started a search for his replacement. Becky Hammon (a Spurs lead assistant coach) will most likely be the favorite to replace the legendary coach.

Gregg Popovich has won a total of five NBA titles with San Antonio. He has been the head coach of the team since 1996.

The veteran coach has to win 26 games this season to become the coach with most victories in NBA history.
