Golden State Warriors closed their preseason games with an easy win over the Portland Trail Blazers, where Steph Curry exploded for 41 points.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, the 41 points are tied for the third-most in a preseason game over the last 15 years, and it’s the third time in Curry’s career to hit the 40-point mark in a preseason game.

“The guy’s a machine,” Kerr said. “It’s just amazing how he looks after himself physically, emotionally, he’s just an incredible athlete at the peak of his powers still at 33. He’s just remarkable to observe, and obviously, we’re lucky to have him leading the way for us,” Kerr said after the game, per ESPN.

His performance concluded a 5-0 preseason record for a Warriors’ squad that is looking to return to the upper tier of the Western Conference this year.

Curry is looked prime for another MVP-type season this year, with the Warriors hopefully remaining healthy for the year. The Warriors will face the Los Angeles Lakers in the regular season opener on October 19.
