Facundo Campazzo will become the new captain of Argentina, following the retirement of the legendary Luis Scola.
Argentina new head coach, Nestor Garcia, revealed the news during his appearance on ESPN.
“I told Campazzo that he was going to be the captain the second day after they appointed me. The captain is the one who represents everyone, he is not the unionist of the players. He is the nexus of all and Campazzo is prepared for that,” Garcia told ESPN.
Facundo Campazzo has been one of the best players of Argentina over the past few years. He helped the national team claim the silver medal in the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
