The Los Angeles Lakers continued their preseason losing streak with a heavy home loss to the Phoenix Suns (94-123). For the hosts, it was the 4th straight loss in preseason games and they are yet to win a single game.

Lakers newcomer Russell Westbrook played his second game with the purple and gold. He finished the game with 8 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists in 26 minutes. The 32-year-old point guard also had 9 turnovers. He was asked postgame if the high number of turnovers is an indication that he needs more time to get used to Frank Vogel’s system.

“It’s fine. The turnovers was on me. But thing is they don’t count. So I turn that b*tch 15 times. Ain’t nothing nobody can do about it,” Westbrook said. “It’s all on me though. Easy fix though. Very easy. Just because timing, just timing guys getting used to my speed, my pace, my timing, where I am on the floor. Me just getting my timing back on passing.

“Now were about I’d rather get them out now and then I’ll better forgot and make the game easy for everybody else around me. So they definitely don’t mean nothing with the offense. Some I still need to forget about. Those are all personal error timing and somebody we can figure out.”
