Dwight Howard is aware of the role he will have with the Lakers and what the multiple time champions expect from him.
Howard knows the Lakers want him to come off the bench and change the game with his energy and intensity.
“We know when we come in the game what we have to bring. That’s energy, effort and intensity. And that’s what we plan to do as soon as we get out there. Play as hard as we can. Change the game with our effort. And I thought we did that tonight,” the veteran big man said, via Lakers Nation.
Dwight Howard joined the Lakers after an one-year absence. He returned to the franchise to fight for the second championship of his career.
The Lakers lacked his energy and intensity on both ends of the floor and his voice in the locker room last season. And that’s why they brought him back, with Howard being ready to show they made the right choice.
