Brooklyn Nets will probably have to play without Kyrie Irving in front of their home fans, head coach Steve Nash revealed in a recent media session.

Irving is still ineligible to play in New York due to the citywide mandate that demands at least one dose of vaccine to participate in indoor activities.

Speaking on the situation with Irving, and his availability for this upcoming season, Nets coach Steve Nash was quite blunt in stating the reality of the situation.

“I think we recognize he’s not playing home games. We’re going to have to for sure play without him this year. So it just depends on when, where and how much,” Nash said.

Nets are in the midst of the preseason, with several members of the team previously expressing hope that Kyrie will change his stance and join the team for the full 82-game season.
