Frank Vogel addresses Lakers’ loss to Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers remained winless in their preseason game after losing on the road to the Golden State Warriors (114-121). LeBron James and Russell Westbrook made their preseason debuts but it wasn’t enough to overpower the Dubs, who were led by Steph Curry.

Lakers’ top performer was Dwight Howard, who had 23 points in 24 minutes coming off the bench. In terms of scoring, the 35-year-old center was followed by Talen Horton-Tucker (17 points) and Kendrick Nunn (13 points).

After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shared his thoughts on how he saw his team perform. “We got to get better [in defense],” he said. “Obviously [the Warriors] are one of the toughest teams in the league to guard with Steph’s movement. They have a system that they’ve won championships with. They put a lot of pressure on us, for a group that’s still learning each other. But definitely got to be better on that end.”
