Philadelphia 76ers interested in Pacers’ Caris LeVert, per report

Indiana Pacers are among teams still interested in acquiring Ben Simmons after the three-time All-Star demanded to be traded out of Philadelphia.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia 76ers seem to be willing to acquire Pacers’ guard/forward Caris LeVert in a potential deal for Simmons.

LeVert is currently sidelined with a stress fracture in his back, but the Pacers are optimistic he will be ready for the start of the season.

The 27-year-old was a key part of the James Harden trade, that took place last November. LeVert averaged a career-high 20.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.6 boards, and 1.4 steals in 47 appearances with the Nets and the Pacers last season.

Simmons decided to not attend the Sixers’ preseason training camp. Last season, He registered 14.3 points, 7.2 boards, 6.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest and he was runner-up for the DPOY award behind Rudy Gobert.
