Chaundee Brown, who signed with the Los Angeles Lakers back in August, made his debut with the team in a loss to the Phoenix Suns. The former Wake Forest Demon Deacon and Michigan Wolverine shooting guard played 9 minutes coming off bench during which he scored 9 points.

The 22-year-old player is fighting for a two-way spot on the Lakers and, according to head coach Frank Vogel, he is making a case for that. “Yeah, he’s making a case,” he said postgame. “He’s performing well. Obviously, the perimeter shooting and the defensive physical toughness to have success in this league. He’s off to a good start for us.

“He’s tough. He has the mindset of blowing up screens and being really physical on the glass. He’s done a good job first in camp and like I said, when you get a guy that can shoot the ball from the perimeter and make plays off the bounce and compete at a high level on a defensive end, you got a chance.”
