Six teams reportedly ‘still inquiring’ for potential Ben Simmons trade

Ben Simmons’ saga has continuously bothered the Philadelphia 76ers, who are still unwilling to give their three-time All-Star in trade without getting back meaningful compensation.

If a trade does pop up in the coming days or weeks, though, perhaps it will come from one of the teams mentioned by Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The 76ers insider reported six teams are still inquiring for Simmons, who has yet to attend his team’s training camp, waiting for the Sixers to find a deal soon.

“A league source said the Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, and San Antonio Spurs are still inquiring about Simmons’ availability,” Pompey wrote.

The T-Wolves were not considering giving up any of the upper echelon talents of the team under former President of basketball operations Gersson Rosas.

The Pacers are considered a ‘sleeper team’ according to NBA insider Brian Windhorst. The Raptors and Spurs have been mentioned on and off as potential destinations during the offseason, while the Pistons could be an interesting destination for Simmons.
