Ja Morant on what it’d take to participate in the NBA Dunk Contest

Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant has been critical of the NBA Dunk Contest, which takes place every year in the NBA All-Star Weekend.

The young star was asked what will take to participate in one in the coming years. Morant, 22, made the comments to Bleacher Report in an interview with Taylor Rooks, which was posted on YouTube on Monday.

Morant was not happy about the judges of the contest in the few years, as he believed Aaron Gordon should have won over Derrick Jones Jr.

He also claimed the exciting dunks being done in games themselves have lessened the impact of the contest. Morant also suggested which players would like to go against in a hypothetical dunk contest.

If he were to participate, Morant said he thinks Zach LaVine, Gordon and someone between Zion Williamson or Derrick Jones Jr. would give him a run for his money.
