Michael Jordan’s revenge game on Walt Williams: “I remember that sh*t you was talking last game”

The latest episode of 1-ON-1 with Basketball Network featured Walt aka. ‘The Wizard’ Williams. Selected as the 7th pick in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, Walt ended up having a very solid 11-year NBA career, averaging well over double digits while playing with some of the best players in the game.

One of the topics discussed was Michael Jordan’s revenge game against Williams after the then-Toronto Raptors player with the help of his teammates limited the Chicago Bulls star to just 13 points. At the same time Williams had 18 points. Media made a big deal out of this game and MJ did not forget it the next time the two teams met.

“So, right before tip Jordan looks up at me and he says ‘yeah, I remember that trash you was talking last game.’ And look, we’re all players here so I’m looking at him like ‘yeah, let’s go,'” Williams recalled. “But inside, to myself, I’m saying ‘hey, that was the media! That was the media saying that stuff.’ But anyway, nonetheless, he went crazy. He gave me a 40-piece. And I don’t think he played in the fourth quarter, that was in three quarters.”
