Guard Eugene “Pooh” Jeter has signed a contract to play with the G League Ignite this season, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Jeter spent one year in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings during the 2010-11 season, playing 62 games.

The 37-year-old will join fellow veterans Amir Johnson and Bobby Brown on the Ignite’s roster and will be able help the young players learn how to be professionals on and off the court.

Most recently, Jeter played in China with the Fujian Sturgeons and Tianjin Gold Lions (now named Pioneers) and in the Ukraine with Dnipro.

Jeter is a naturalized citizen of the Ukraine and represented the country at the EuroBasket 2013, leading the team to a sixth place finish, which led to qualification for the 2014 FIBA World Cup where he also played.

He led the team in scoring and assists at both tournaments.
