Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr refused to be drawn into discussing Kevin Durant and Draymond Green blaming him for their beef during Durant’s last season with the team.

Durant and Green had an infamous on-court bust-up at the end of a game against the Los Angeles Clippers in 2018 and met up to discuss the incident on Green’s CHIPS podcast this August. Durant cited the confrontation as one of the reasons he left the team at the end of that season but both players would agree that Kerr and the Warriors management were to blame for their handling of the fallout.

Kerr, who was a guest on The TK Show with The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami recently, was asked about the take but refused to comment.

“I’m going to chalk this one up [to the fact] that I recognize that you have to ask that question. And by the same token, I don’t have to answer it. So we’re going to move on to the next question,” he replied.

Kerr likely took the best possible route with this one. After all, Green is still part of the team. Durant, meanwhile, has moved to the Brooklyn Nets.
