FC Barcelona and Real Madrid maintained their unbeaten streak in the ACB en route to the EuroLeague tip-off this week.

The Catalans defeated Breogan at home (78-69), with Nikola Mirotic leading the way with 22 points and seven rebounds. The superstar of FC Barcelona also claimed the MVP award for September in the league.

For their part, the “Whites” rallied past Obradoiro at Wizink Center (78-68) and earned their third straight victory. Both Spanish giants are on top of the standings after the first three rounds.

The two teams now have their sights set on the start of the EuroLeague, where they are the favorites to go all the way. On Friday night, FC Barcelona hosts ALBA Berlin. A day earlier, Real Madrid will clash with defending champions Anadolu Efes in a rematch of the 2021 playoffs.
