FC Bayern Munich started the new campaign in the German BBL with several players unavailable due to injuries and coronavirus protocols.

After the first official game of the season against Ratiopharm Ulm, Bayern head coach Andrea Trinchieri shared an update on the sidelined players ahead of EuroLeague’s opening game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

“None of our injured players will return for our game against Maccabi. I expect Hunter back who was the 7th foreigner tonight. Probably there is a chance for Walden, but no one else. It is what it is,” the Italian head coach said.

As the situation stands now, Nihad Djedovic, Leon Radosevic and Paul Zipser Vladimir are still recovering from injuries, while Vladimir Lucic is suspended.

At the same time, Othello Hunter and Corey Walden remain questionable, but they could play, while Gavin Schilling and Andreas Obst will be sidelined for the game against Maccabi.

Bayern will face Maccabi Tel-Aviv on September 30 in the opening round of the 2021-22 EuroLeague season.
