Golden State Warriors’ governor Joe Lacob was fined $50,000 for violating the league’s anti-tampering rule. Following his comments on Ben Simmons’ fit with the Warriors, the league announced the punishment for Lacob.

Lacob claimed making a move for All-Star guard/forward Ben Simmons does not make sense for the Warriors. Simmons is not expected to report to the Philadelphia 76ers camp, which is less than a week away.

The comments in question were made to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle. Lacob admitted the ‘Dubs’ are always looking to improve; however, he added Simmons is not the answer as they already have Draymond Green.

The Sixers are looking to trade Simmons, but, their asking price is reportedly considered steep, as they are hoping to receive an All-Star in exchange.
