“It is with pride that Varese Basketball announces a new entry into the Board of Directors: Luis Scola who will hold the role of CEO of the red and white club. This addition embellishes and further consolidates the management fabric of the company and has the aim of making its operational strategies for the near future more and more solid.

Born in Buenos Aires on April 30, 1980, Scola is a legend of world basketball. Exploded in Spain with the shirt of Baskonia, he arrived in the NBA where he spent ten years between Houston, Phoenix, Indiana, Toronto and Brooklyn.

After more than 740 games he moved to China for two seasons before ending his career in Italy between Milan and Varese. Scola was above all a column of the national team with whom he won the 2004 Olympics, bronze in 2008 and two silver medals at the 2002 and 2019 World Championships.
