Golden State Warriors are looking to add a backup point guard before the start of the season, choosing to contact a multi-day workout with former guard Quinn Cook, per The Warriors Talk.
Cook was part of the Warriors’ team that won the championship in 2018. He also played for them in 2019, adding another Finals’ appearance to his resume.
He also signed with the Los Angeles Lakers during the last two seasons. Last year, he was waived mid-season and signed multiple ten-day contracts with the Cleveland Cavaliers, making just 23 appearances overall.
Before last season, Cook played for another championship team, being part of the Lakers’ team in the Orlando “bubble”. The best season in his career was during the 2017-18 season, averaging 9.5 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.5 rebounds.
