“Marc has earned the freedom and flexibility to make his own decision and he will do so when he decides,” Pau Gasol said. I know he has a lot of enthusiasm for Basquet Girona, a club in which I am also involved as vice president.

He is in a different situation because he is five years younger than me. We will see what he decides to do this season and later, I am also waiting.”

The Lakers traded Gasol to the Grizzlies, with veteran center working on a buyout with Memphis afterwards. According to the latest reports, Gasol could be signing with the LEB Oro club Girona, but, the Warriors are also interested in the veteran center, if he becomes available mid-season.

Gasol spent 13 years of his career in the NBA playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Lakers. He won the NBA championship with the Raptors in 2019.
