Igor Kokoskov has officially parted ways with the national team of Serbia, the Federation announced on Tuesday.
Kokoskov was not expected to retain his place on the bench after the elimination of Serbia from the Olympic Games in early July.
The Serbian coach will now move to the NBA and join the coaching staff of the Dallas Mavericks, after parting ways with EuroLeague powerhouse Fenerbahce.
For their part, the Basketball Federation of Serbia is expected to hire former FC Barcelona head coach Svetislav Pesic as Kokoskov’s replacement.
