The Los Angeles Lakers have completely revamped their roster ahead of the 2021-2022 NBA season. Only three players remained on the team from the year before, namely LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Talen Horton-Tucker.

Russell Westbrook was the biggest addition to the team, who joined James and Davis to form the big three. Overall, the team got older with mostly veterans coming to the roster.

According to CJ McCollum, the Lakers ‘reloaded’ during the offseason and will be a solid team next year. He expects the league to be competitive and is excited about that.

Via Matt Peralta of Lakers Nation:

“They reloaded. They reloaded, they brought in a lot of veterans, they brought in my guy Melo. I think they’ll be a solid team, obviously good starters, good backups, they have the depth that will allow Bron and AD and Russ and some of those guys to rest some games throughout the season which is probably ideal. But it’s gonna be competitive. I got nothing but respect for the rest of the league, especially the Lakers. It’s gonna be competitive and I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone has improved this upcoming season.”
