Zach LaVine on not signing contract extension with the Bulls: “It’s business”

Chicago Bulls’ superstar Zach LaVine talked on his feeling on not receiving a contract extension. LaVine is expected to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Giving LaVine’s max money would have hindered the hopes of Chicago, which added more star power with DeMar DeRozan alongside LaVine.

The Bulls star talked to Yahoo Sports’ Vincent Goodwill about his contract situation:

LaVine is coming off a breakout season, becoming an All-Star last season. The Bulls wanted to drastically improve the roster in order to convince him to stay, as the scoring guard will be a free agent in 2022.

The Bulls’ star posted a career-high 27.4 points per game on 50.7% from the field and 41.9% from beyond the arc. He would possibly opt to remain in Chicago, if the Bulls become a force to be reckoned with the upcoming season.
