Brooklyn Nets officially sign Paul Millsap

Brooklyn Nets have officially announced the signing of veteran forward Paul Millsap. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not revealed.

Across 15 seasons in the NBA, Millsap appeared in 1,052 career games with the Utah Jazz, the Atlanta Hawks and the Denver Nuggets.

He posted averages of 13.7 points on 49.0 percent shooting from the floor, 34.3 percent shooting from the three-point range and 73.6 percent shooting from the free-throw line, along with 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks.

Millsap is a one-time All-Star, when he was playing for Atlanta between 2013 and 2017. He spent the last three seasons of his career in Denver, helping the team establish a place in the top-tier of the Western Conference.

The Monroe, La., native was also named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team during the 2015-16 campaign. Prior to his NBA career, Millsap spent three seasons (2003-06) at Louisiana Tech University.
