Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons does not believe it’s his responsibility to fix his value, Brian Windhorst revealed during his appearance on ESPN’s The Jump.
The former Rookie of the Year has no intention to help his team amp up his value in the market. Simmons is on an all-time low in that case, after his disappointing performances during the Eastern Conference semifinals vs. Atlanta.
Simmons was a non-factor on the offensive end, especially during the fourth quarter of almost every game of the series. On the other hand, the 76ers put up a steep price tag on Simmons after the end of the season.
Many believe that’s the reason why opposing teams have been unwilling to negotiate a trade deal with them. The Sixers are hoping to receive a James Harden-type package in a deal, however, so far, no team reached their bidding to this level.
Simmons is a three-time All-Star, a Defensive Player of the Year runner-up and former Rookie of the Year, having a great resume as a 25-year-old NBA player.
