Real Madrid may be forced to start the new season without forward Alberto Abalde.
Abalde is dealing with a quadriceps injury he sustained in the preparation game vs Murcia on Saturday.
The 25-year-old player will undergo medical tests that will determine for how long he will be sidelined.
Real Madrid will face Tenerife in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup, which will take place this weekend (September 11-12).
Aside from Abalde, Anthony Randolph and Trey Thompkins have been ruled out for the Super Cup.
