According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, big man DeAndre Jordan is expected to sign a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after he clears waivers.

A three-time Super Bowl Champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe shared some of his thoughts on DeAndre Jordan intending to sign with the Lakers:

“I like the signing, I believe he can bring what JaVale brought to the Lakers. A guy that can run the floor, rebound and protect the paint. The Lakers will be more of what they were 2 years ago. I’m excited.”

A former All-Star center spent the last two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, bouncing in and out of the starting lineup during his tenure. Over 113 games – 49 of those in the starting lineup – Jordan has averaged 7.9 points and 8.7 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game.
