Rich Paul would like to cut ties with the Philadelphia 76ers amid Ben Simmons’ trade rumors. According to Jason Dumas of Bleacher Report, Klutch Sports would like Tyrese Maxey to be included in a potential Simmons’ trade.
Dumas adds that some local organizations had been planning to partner with Maxey on community events. They were told to cancel those plans though because Paul does not want Maxey to grow roots in the city if he could be leaving.
Simmons has formally requested a move from the team earlier today. Maxey, 20, is considered a potential vital piece for the 76ers’ future.
Philadelphia even appeared unwilling to include Maxet in a trade for James Harden. In that case, Simmons was likely the centerpiece of the Sixers’ trade package.
